Aloha and welcome to Pualani Kai.
Growing up in Hawaii, we spent most of our free time at the beaches all around Oahu. The South Shore was great for swimming and sun tanning. We'd head to the North shore on weekends to fish and snorkel the reefs. During the 70's, we'd head to the West shores to pick the popular puka and paper shells.
Now that we have children, we still find ourselves back at the beach, treasure hunting for beautiful shells and beach glass. They're not as abundant as before, so finding one still bring that spark of excitement like a little child many years ago. As adults, we realize the true gifts these shells are both in their natural beauty and their strength to survive tumbling in the waves. The longer they tumble in the waves, the more beautiful they become.
Making beach jewelry combines 2 of our favorite pass times, going to the beach and making jewelry. Beach jewelry is a way for us to carry the beach and those wonderful memories with us. Whether we're in the office or on a plane, looking at the beautiful shells brings you back to a sunny day on the beach.
